“I need to renew my app”
Goal
That was how the client approached me. This app was already working, but not properly. In addition to being able to improve it in the visual field, it was necessary to review the flows and how the user interacted with the different steps to request a wash, which is the main objective within the app.
The project
This project had the singularity of being my first remote job. Communication with the development team, the client and my design presentations had to take place at specific times. The objective was clear, to redesign the main flow of the app and give it an update on design and visual communication issues.
After understanding the idea that the client had, and knowing the service that he wanted to offer, it was easier to create some proposals.
Colors and design
Although it was not imperative to make a radical change in the application, it was needed to standardize styles, colors, fonts and other elements that together would provide a better user experience. Dynamic and energetic colors were chosen, such as green and blue, using their respective gradients to reduce monotony. And finally, they were contrasted with gray tones.

The process
We started by obtaining screenshots of the flow that was already advanced in development, and together with the client, based on what it had reviewed with its first users, the main flow of the app was polished. And once a style was defined and a path had been traced, these decisions could be replicated on the rest of the screens.
The final result
The project, in my case, concluded with the review of the designs already implemented in a phase very close to the final. With these designs, it was possible to re-estimate new times for the launch of the app. Many other factors delayed the completion of the project, which is why it was temporarily suspended.
What was learned
I really liked working with people from various areas, with people who do not necessarily share a single vision and who have to be convinced of new ideas. These dialogues were always mutual, and the learning was constant. It was also pleasing to see how the client perceive the screens were gradually meeting his expectations in terms of UX and UI.
