Museum of modern and contemporary art
Goal
This experimental exercise is given by the architectural taste of this iconic museum. This poster is illustrative, and gives information about a supposed exhibition with the Pompidou as its venue.
The outcome
For this museum it is important to highlight the architecture of the place that houses such great artists, and it is through its iconic construction that it has managed to be considered one of the most recognized buildings within the hight-tech style; style that is characterized by metals, pipes, stairs, water pipes, air, etc., seen and painted in bold colors. A kind of industrialized but functional and welcoming building, different from everything that was used in the 70s, but always trying to be consistent with the content of the museum and faithful to the style of those who were going to exhibit their works in it.

The process
Making an impact with a similar design to the museum is important because potential museum visitors know where they are going and what they will be about to observe, an idea of belonging between one and the other must be maintained. Focusing on a single artist or a single exhibition would be wrong because visitors will not only see that, but will be immersed in an entire experience.
Apart from informing, this poster suggests in a certain way a visit to the Center Pompidou, it invites you to learn more about a place that looks interesting, and that, without a doubt, inside is much more than charming. Informing is a valuable part in design, since you need to know the times and addresses, but without a doubt the most important thing is to invite new visitors, without telling them much, to express the spirit of the museum and welcome them trough an image.
The final result
When advertising a museum, it is logical to use a visual and impressive piece, just as striking as the place you are trying to advertise. In this case, the Pompidou Center is characterized by its rectilinear shapes and saturated colours, by its geometry and by its impact when colliding with the normality of buildings and designs attached to the traditional, by the contrast created between the organic shapes and colors of a European city, with the industrialized objects and models of the Pompidou Center modern art museum.
What was learned
Despite not being a real project, the design of this poster gave me a lot of freedom to abstract what a museum can be and put it into graphic elements that would convey similar emotions. Playing with the colors and elements that distinguish the Center Pompidou was simple in the sense that I immediately related to the theme exhibited in the center.
